If you’ve read any of my blogs before you’ll probably already know that I love outdoor weddings. And you’ll also be aware that I’m a huge fan of celebrant-led weddings. So, when you combine the two as Tom & Naomi did for their wedding you really do get something magical!
Although getting married in their garden, and catering their own wedding wasn’t what they had in mind originally, you wouldn’t have known on the day – it was absolutely perfect.
Their wedding day plans were really relaxed and informal. Naomi and her bridesmaids spent the night before at a local AirB&B, while Tom and his Best Girl got ready at his house ready to welcome the guests.
Naomi’s aunty conducted their ceremony, and had organised for everyone to surprise them with an impromptu sing-song! This is a great way to add some personality into your ceremony and a huge bonus of going the celebrant route.
We then celebrated with one or two drinks, served from their garden bar to the sound of some live folk music, before everyone headed into the marquee for a picnic-style wedding breakfast.
We then got on a bus to a local canal-side cafe for tea & cake… And some rather good speeches! I love it when traditions are broken. When people aren’t confined to the same wedding rules it allows for much more freedom and individuality. So both Dad’s gave speeches as well as the Best Girl.
Then, it was back on the bus back to the garden for more drinks, magic from Rory Scott… and late night pizza!
Congratulations & Thank You!

I’d like to say a massive congratulations to Tom & Naomi. I’ve also got a few thank yous too… Firstly, for treating and making me feel like one of the family, I had the best time hanging out with you and your lot 😍 Secondly for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. And lastly, but perhaps most importantly, for choosing me to photograph your proposal too!
