There are a lot of Wedding Photographers in the UK, heck there are a lot of Wedding Photographers in North Wales. So how do you chose the right one for you?
The two most important things are the photography and the photographer. You need to find someone who not only creates images that you love, but that you get on with too. For the majority of my weddings I arrive just after the make-up artist and don't leave until midnight. That's a long time to spend with someone you don't feel comfortable around!
I always like to meet up have a drink and a bit of chat, or at the very least a phone call before you book. Some call it a consultation, but that’s far too formal. It’s really just an opportunity for you to get to know me a bit better, sure we’ll talk wedding photography but it’s really about breaking the ice.
Plus, I want to get to know you too. Not in a creepy way, but just enough to know what you're planning so I can get excited! You're more than a date and a venue to me — I did say it's all about the people didn't I?
...don't exist. I don't have pre-built packages, because no-one likes being told what to do. Instead I've split everything up and allow you to have complete control over your wedding "package".
You can choose how long you need me for, if you'd like a film, and once you've seen your photos, what physical products you'd like — if any. As a rough guide, my prices tend to start around £1,300. So, have a look and then check my availability here 😉
Here's is a list of everything that's always included:
I’ll give you every image that meets my high standard, there’s no limit to how many I deliver. Normally over 400, in both High Resolution suitable for printing and Low Resolution suitable for emailing and web use.
I don't add my logo or watermarks to any of my images. You're free to share, make prints, albums, copies or even get your face printed on a Marshmallow if you're into that sort of thing 😉
A password protected online gallery of all your images in Print & Web Quality for you to view, share and download your images with anyone you like.
I'll keep a professional back-up of your all your final images and (if the worst should happen) happily provide a free disaster recovery service.
Using my Polaroids Original OneStep2 / vintage Polaroid Spectra instant cameras, I'll capture a few key moments throughout your wedding day, and give them to you before I say goodbye.
I assume if you're paying me, you'd like me to actually attend your wedding. So travel & accommodation is always included within mainland UK. There are no hidden costs. No nasty little surprises.
I'm a huge fan of wedding albums. I think everyone should have one... I once walked into a Bride’s dressing room on the morning of her wedding, she was sat on the bed looking through her parents wedding album with her Mum. That was one of the first weddings I ever shot and that image has stayed with me ever since.
I've chosen Folio Albums as my supplier of choice because they're the best, IMHO. They're handmade from start to finish in Yorkshire. They use the highest quality fine art papers, archival inks and have fantastic eco-credentials.
Of course, your images come with printing and sharing rights, so there's no pressure from me to buy an album from me. You're free to use anyone you wish.
