Featured Venue – Plas Dinam
I asked Eldrydd Lamp, owner & manager of Plas Dinam Country House what she thinks makes Plas Dinam different to other venues.
“Plas Dinam has the double bonus of being a beautiful country house with accommodation, but also has a an amazing glass roofed “party barn” in the form of the Stables. Views to die for and beautiful grounds are extra bonuses.”
And I couldn’t agree more. It’s the combination of the grand house and the rustic stables that I fell in love with immediately. But as I learnt more about Plas Dinam, the more I realised how many boxes it ticks. If I was getting married again, it would be a serious contender!
DIY Wedding Venue
The ability to make a venue “your own” is important to me, so I asked Eldrydd where Plas Dinam was on the DIY vs Done For You scale?
“Plas Dinam aims to be really flexible, so if you’d like to DIY, you can, if you’d prefer for us to run things, we can. I’d say most couples go for mostly DIY but get our help for some things.”
Eldrydd went on to say that she’s seen some amazing personal touches over the years.
“Every couple puts their own stamp on Plas Dinam, and there is loads of scope to do so! There have been lots of amazing personal touches, from a home made ceremony arch to amazing tree decorations. Pre-wedding pizza nights have also been a huge hit using Plas Dinam’s original bread oven!”
I wanted to know what advice Eldrydd would give couples who are looking for their perfect wedding venue. This is what she said…
“Make sure that you have good back up for a rainy day. You really don’t want to be disappointed if the weather is not at it’s best. At Plas Dinam the “back up” option of a ceremony in the hall is really spectacular, and there are other lovely rooms to use for your drinks reception and photos.”
