One of my favourite things about being a wedding photographer is getting to visit cool wedding venues like Victoria Baths, in Manchester. If you’ve not heard of Victoria Baths before, then you’re in for a treat! It’s an Edwardian swimming pool and has to be one of the most unique wedding venues around.
Victoria Baths, Manchester, is a large exclusive use wedding venue with plenty of party space. There are three pools, the Gala Pool being the largest. Followed by the Sports Hall, and then the female pool. There’s also the Turkish Rest room and the Pineapple room. All rooms have gorgeous stained glass windows which have been lovingly restored. Plus, there’s a free car park which is always a bonus for a city wedding.
It’s ideal for DIY weddings and has bags and bags of character… Oh, and talking about character, it’s also been used to film several TV Shows, including Peaky Blinders.

My style of wedding photography is all about letting your character and personality shine through. I don’t turn your wedding into a photoshoot, but I’m more than happy to provide you with an excuse to escape the constant attention and take some time out just the two of you – that also means you get some natural portraits too. My relaxed approach to wedding photography allows me to create images that bring back memories, of real moments that actually happened. In fact, I don’t think I can put it any better than Mel does…
“Waaaaahhhhh these are incredible Chris!!! I’m crying all over again 😭 obviously happy tears! You truly are a master of your art; I feel like every one of those photos tells a story and brings back the feeling of each moment” – Mel
And on that note, let’s take a look at some photos from Mel & Mark’s Wedding at Victoria Baths!
Mel, Mark – Thank you for having me along for the ride! I had a great time hanging out with you and your lot. Mel you looked absolutely stunning, but I have to say, Mark is by far the best looking Groom I’ve seen in a long while 😉
On a completely unrelated note due to mounting pressure, from just about everyone, I had to hand my camera over to Adam Wing Films to take a quick snap of me & Mark together 🙄😂
