The Villa, Wrea Green, Lancashire – Wedding Photography (Part 1)

I’ve already shared a few photos from Gemma & Chris’ wedding at The Villa, Wrea Green, but I was rushing to make sure I got the post up before they headed off on honeymoon!  So now, it’s time for a more considered and detail post about their amazing day…  And one of the best wedding parties this year!

I always love the morning prep stage of the day because there’s a real buzz in the air.  I photograph the whole wedding day in a very natural style of photography – I never re-arrange your house to get a ‘pinterest’ detail shot.  I photograph real moments that capture the real you and that actually reflect your day.  I’m obviously biased, but from just 20 photos of the morning prep below I think you get a true sense of what Gemma’s morning was like…

I particularly like the shot of Gemma curled smiling up on the arm-chair.  It perfectly sums up the morning, happy, cozy & comfortable – she looks beautiful and completely at ease.

Another favourite is the one where Gemma’s half way through having her extensions put in.  Her flower girls found this hilarious and were making all sorts of jokes about her ‘crazy hair’!

Claire from Claire Clarkson Hair & Make-Up was fantastic, not just making Gemma & her Bridesmaids look even more beautiful but she kept everything running smoothly and on time – which let’s face it helps everyone stay calm.  Once all the bags were loaded into various cars (including my own) we bundled Gemma into a classic VW Camper Van and headed off to the church…
