Inglewood Manor / Cheshire Wedding Photographer

At the end of an amazing winding driveway you’ll find Inglewood Manor – a stunning Edwardian country house.  This beautiful Grade II listed wedding venue is one of my favourites, I can’t wait to shoot Deb & Matt’s wedding here in July this year, I’ve visited quite a few times, but for some reason never blogged it. So to make up for this, here’s a load of photos taken over my last few visits and a bonus Q&A with Kim, Inglewood Manor’s wedding co-ordinator!

Q:  What do you think makes Inglewood Manor such a special wedding venue?
A: To be honest, there are so many reasons why Inglewood Manor feels so special, but if I had to pick my top 3 they would be:

Our 38 acres of amazing grounds and gardens, so beautiful any time of the year and with loads of quirky features and undiscovered nooks and crannies, they’re a wedding photographers dream!

The terrace, such a fantastic space, overlooking  acres of manicured lawns.  It gives us the ability to host gorgeous outdoor ceremonies, and fun hog roasts and barbecues (the perfect alternative to a buffet on a balmy summer’s evening).

The house itself, built in 1915, warm and welcoming and still retaining the feel of an elegant family home.  There’s nothing ‘corporate’ about it, and this unique feeling allows our couples to enjoy being Lord and Lady of the manor on their own special day.

Q: You obviously receive a lot of wedding enquiries each month… What is the most common question you get asked? And what’s your reply?
A: Do you do more than one wedding at once? The answer is no! Plus couples have the option to take exclusive use of the whole hotel for the day, creating a lovely ‘house party’ atmosphere for themselves and their guests.

Q: What advice would you give to couples still looking for a wedding venue?
A: Always check out the review sites, rather than just accepting what you are told by the venue – some places can look lovely, but it’s the welcome and service that will really make your wedding a day to remember, so see what previous brides have said.

Q: If you were getting married at Inglewood Manor, what time of year would you pick and why?
A: That’s such a difficult question, as each season has it’s pros and cons, and we’re just as likely to have a clear blue-sky day in November as we are in June. That said, Christmas weddings are always gorgeous here, with the hotel festooned with decorations and the fire roaring in the hearth.
