I took a little drive in the glorious sunshine to meet up with Nia & Joby at Gregynog Hall today for the first time. I normally meet couples before they book as it’s a great chance for me to put a face to a name, hear all about their plans and get to know them a little better. That’s important to me, I don’t want to just turn up on the day take (awesome) photos and leave. A wedding is a really personal day, so for me to spend a little time and get to know you makes my job so much more meaningful. Plus if I’d not met you the beforehand I’d feel like an intruder.
Nia & Joby booked me a while back without having meet me, so although it was a little unusual to be meeting them for the first time just a few months before their wedding, that hadn’t stopped me from getting excited… I already knew that they were combining the grandeur of Gregynog Hall with the laid back vibe of a back garden Tipi reception – the best of both worlds in my opinion!
After we’d had a good wander round Gregynog we headed over to Joby’s parent’s house to see where the Tipi would be going. Joby’s parent’s house couldn’t be more of an idyllic location. I don’t want to give too many details away, but this is going to be one hell of a wedding! They’re a lovely couple and I felt instantly at ease around them – I cannot wait to see these two get married!
Also, got my first wedding invite today… Ok, it was mainly so I’ve got all the details – but I’m counting it! 😀
