Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hill!
Sian & Siôn got married at The Quay Hotel & Spa in Deganwy, a lovely 4* hotel right on the water front… And what a lovely day for a wedding! Beautiful blue skies, sunshine and clouds to add a bit of drama. I was the first to arrive, shortly followed by Sian’s Mum, Sister, and Sarah from The Hair Lounge in Llandudno. The morning was really lovely, everyone was relaxed but excited for the day. Sian gave a few presents out, which sparked one or two tears but that was all before the make-up so no drama there!
Sian’s room was over looking the courtyard, which was a hive of activity for the hotel staff. The juxtaposition of the staff going about their daily routine while inside everyone was preparing for such a special and unique day caught my attention. I really like the shot of the cleaner pulling the hoover behind her… It sums up that feeling perfectly for me.
I don’t think the nerves kicked in for Sian until she was in her dress and almost ready to go… That’s when her hands started shaking, but it wasn’t long until she was composed again and walking down the aisle. The look on Siôn’s face says it all for me. Siôn provided everyone with a laugh during the ceremony, and it’s one that he won’t be able to live down for a while – if ever. When he was meant to say, “I do” Siôn replied with “yeah” and sounded a little confused by the question. Nerves, emotions and the excitement all got the better of him and he hadn’t realised he was at the “I do” part yet. It wasn’t until Sian had repeated the same lines and responded with “I do”, that it dawned on him that he’d made a mistake! Either way, we all knew what he meant, it gave everyone a laugh and they’ve got a funny story to tell. I don’t know if it’s just because I was there (hopefully not) but I love the way these two look at each other – it’s clear that they adore each other.
After some really funny speeches, it was time to get the party started. Their evening reception was filled with laughter, drinks on the balcony and dancing! Event Lounge did a great job with the music and also provided the Photo Booth, which as you can see was a great source of amusement to me and everyone else…
