Congratulations Emily & Andy! Emily & Andy had their wedding at Crabwall Manor, a lovely venue in Mollington, Cheshire. When I arrived the bubbles were flowing and everyone was super excited – always a good start! 4 Bridesmaids, 2 flower girls + 1 bride makes for a room full of hustle & bustle and the odd teddy bear fight. As the ceremony got closer and closer the excitement levels got higher and higher. And once Emily was in her dress it was sky high – even I was buzzing. We took what felt like a maze of left and right turns avoiding all the public areas of Crabwall Manor to arrive at the back of the ceremony room. After a lovely, simple service we headed outside for reception drinks. We managed to get the formal group shots done in between a few drizzley showers, but it wasn’t long before the sun was out and shining beautifully – just in time for the the kids to burn off some energy swinging on trees and running around the gardens like loonies.
The speeches are quickly becoming my favourite part of the day, partly because it’s always nice to hear people saying nice things about each other. But I’ll be honest, it’s mostly because they’re really funny. And Emily & Andy’s speeches were no different. There was a heavily abbreviated (and censored) story told by the Best Man, which by the reaction of the crowd was really funny, but clearly wasn’t suitable for all ages. Later, while chatting to some of Andy’s mates, I got told that story… It’s one of the most horrifyingly hilarious tales I’ve ever heard and it definitely wasn’t suitable for an audience including Grandparents and Grandchildren.
I had so much fun documenting Emily & Andy’s wedding, they’re an awesome couple and they’ve clearly got an awesome group of friends and family. Here’s a few images from their wedding…
