Congratulations Laura & Geraint!
Laura & Geraint opted to have a small intimate wedding at Bodysgallen Hall, near Llandudno. It was a beautiful, relaxed celebration and with just 11 people (including the Bride & Groom) it was a very personal and intimate wedding.
As they were having a small wedding I was only covering a portion of the day, but old habits die hard and I arrived a little too early. I killed some time by wandering around the gorgeous grounds – winter sunshine, clear skies and snow on the mountains – how could I resist?
I love it when the couple are both getting ready in the same place. It removes any stress of traffic jams and means that I can flit between rooms, telling both sides of the morning preparations. When I went to see Geraint, he was “cool, calm and collected” as my Dad would say. His vows were written and he was feeling relaxed. I’ve never known such a laid back couple or calm wedding. Although Laura’s false lashes almost broke the serenity… Not quite, but almost. However, once they were on it was plain sailing. Laura did her own hair and make-up and looked absolutely stunning… She was ready bang on time, five minutes late. Everyone gathered excitedly in the ceremony room, where there was no formal seating, instead their families sat on comfy arm chairs and sofas in front of the open fire.
