This was my first time photographing a full day wedding for a very, very long time. Fortunately, muscle memory hadn’t been lost and it was great to be back at work – if you can call it that!

I had originally been booked to photograph their large weekend wedding celebrations at another venue. However, plans changed for obvious reasons, but they stayed strong and stuck with their date. Although it may not have been the wedding they originally planned, it didn’t matter. Apart from a few weirdly spaced chairs and the occasional masked face, it felt very much like a “normal” wedding. I realise that doesn’t necessarily sound like a compliment, but believe me, it definitely is!

Sarah got ready at home with her Bridal party, while Dave got ready with his Groomsmen in a B&B just down the road. Altrincham Town Hall is a gorgeous building with loads of character, after a lovely ceremony Sarah & Dave were greeted by additional friends who had gathered on the street to see them on their big day… And then showered them in confetti!

We then headed to Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club for the marque reception. We managed to dodge one or two rain showers and ended up with a rather lovely sunset. After the wedding breakfast, it was time for the speeches, cutting the cake & first dance. With the absence of load music, that’s when I left, but I’m sure the celebrations continued until kick-out time 🥂

I’d like to say a massive congratulations and thank you to Sarah & Dave. You both, and all your friends and family treated me like one of your own and made me feel instantly welcome. I had the best day hanging out with you all.
