Congratulations Cathy & Matthew! Cathy & Matt got married in Christ Church, Prestatyn and then headed over to Kinmel Manor for the celebrations.
A little while ago I ran a competition for couples to “win their wedding photography”, it was an opportunity for one couple to have me photograph their wedding absolutely free. Now, Cathy & Matt had already booked me but saw my competition and decided to enter just in case – obviously I had to disqualify them – even though I do like a chancer 😉 . Anyway, the point is that on their entry form Cathy told me about how they met, and it’s still one of my favourite stories because it contains the sentence “It was when I was adjusting his bra strap I realised I quite fancied him.” I should probably tell you that they both worked in theatre at the time and were in a spoof production, but it’s still a funny sentence. This story was mentioned by Matt during his speech and still made me laugh!
Their day was full of colour, from the bridesmaids dresses, to the orange Marigold confetti, to the bright blue suits… oh and a rainbow. I had a great time photographing their wedding, I’m a big fan of bands at weddings but Cathy & Matt had two! By The Rivers (a band Matt used to be part of) sang during the signing of the registers and later The Night Shift band rocked the evening party.
