Couple having their first kiss as a married couple

Victoria & Mark got married at The Boat House, Aston Marina, Staffordshire and it was awesome! The Boat House at Aston Marina is an impressive space with bifold doors along two sides, to make the most of the gorgeous views over the Marina and the Staffordshire countryside.

I met Vic & Mark a while back while they were on holiday in North Wales, so I already knew we would get on really well and I wasn't wrong. I had so much fun with these two. Their wedding was a day full of laughter, happy tears and killer dance moves! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best, but we made the most of the 3 minutes of sunshine we had in the afternoon 😉

I can't wait to share more photos from this gorgeous wedding, but for now, here's a little sneak preview…

“Wow Chris! They are fantastic. These alone capture the emotions and sheer fun of the day perfectly. As well as the pictures you became a very welcome guest! Thanks!” - Mark

“Chris, these are AMAZING!! We love them ❤️❤️❤️  You were so good, and you are so talented! So happy we found you!!” - Victoria

Surprise proposal by the lake in Snowdonia

Mel & Mark got married at one of the coolest wedding venues in Manchester - Victoria Baths! If you've not heard of it, Victoria Baths is an Edwardian swimming pool and has to be one of the most unique wedding venues around. Exclusive use, ideal for DIY weddings and bags and bags of character. So although it was my first time photographing here, it's already one of my favourite venues!

Mel and Mark (but mostly Mel 😉) planned an amazing day, filled with fun, cool touches, plenty of personality and loads of really good food!

"Waaaaahhhhh these are incredible Chris!!! I'm crying all over again 😭 obviously happy tears! You truly are a master of your art; I feel like every one of those photos tells a story and brings back the feeling of each moment" - Mel

Mel, Mark - Thank you for having me along for the ride! I had a great time hanging out with you and your lot. Mel you looked absolutely stunning, but I have to say, Mark is by far the best looking Groom I've seen in a long while 😉

On a completely unrelated note due to mounting pressure, from just about everyone, I had to hand my camera over to Adam Wing Films to take a quick snap of me & Mark together 🙄😂

Weddings guests throwing confetti at Bride & Groom

I'm so in love with this one! Massive congratulations to Sophie & James who although technically got married last Thursday, had their wedding on Saturday. And it was absolutely gorgeous.

Wedding Ceremony at Anglesey Airbnb

Having already got married meant that Sophie & James could have their wedding without the restrictions of pesky things like the law or religion getting in their way.

For me, weddings are personal, fun, unique, exciting and oh-so-happy!

So when I found out that they were having their very close friend Flo perform the ceremony, I was well happy.

Flo was instrumental Sophie & James meeting for the first time so their ceremony is incredibly personal. Flo introduced herself and retold stories about how she knew both Sophie & James. Then everyone had a sing-a-long. The sound of 100 people singing "all you need is love" in the sunshine is a pretty awesome thing. They had readings and another sing-song. Then they exchanged simple modern-day vows (no honouring with thy body) and headed down the aisle to whoops, cheers and shouts of congratulations.

After the ceremony, a glass of champagne and a few group photos Sophie & James led their friends and family down the road to the village hall to continue the celebrations.

Rhoscolyn Village Hall Reception

If I was to pick out one detail that summed up Sophie & James' wedding it would be the picture-with-holes-to-put-your-face-in. I don't think I have the words to describe their day properly, but it was unique, fun, spontaneous, full of energy, exciting and really, really happy!

A guitarist played in the background while everyone drank, laughed, gobbled down canapes and stuck their faces through the holes in the picture-with-holes-to-put-your-face-in to have their photographs taken before heading into the marquee for the speeches...

Secret Proposal Photography

I had such an amazing day hanging out with this lot. Catrin & Daniel are two genuinely lovely people 😍.

They got married at Holy Trinity Church in Trefnant, Denbighshire. Catrin and her family have been attending since for many years... It's the same church that Catrin's parents were married at, and she was Christened and Confirmed there too! So it had real significance to them.

To the pub!

Afterwards, we all headed to the local village pub, The Blue Lion in Cwm, for celebrations, speeches and dancing. Dan organised and planned their honeymoon... But Catrin had no idea where they were going or what they were doing until he revealed that information during his speech - which explains Catrin's face in the photo below 🤣

“Absolutely phenomenal! Love them. Thanks for all your help on the day and for being the perfect guy for the job! We couldn't have got luckier” - Dan & Catrin

DIY Field & Forest Wedding Venue

Field & Forest Weddings, is the sort of venue that does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a field and a forest. I was looking forward to this wedding since I first met Rhiannon & Luke and heard the venue name. But by the time I'd had a look around and saw the weather forecast I was well excited. It was such a perfect day and location. People often think all photographers want grey skies because you don't get harsh shadows... Embrace the contrast I say!

First Look In The Woods

Rhiannon & Luke wanted to have a moment together before the ceremony, so we picked a secluded spot in the woods, with gorgeous dappled sunlight beaming through the trees...

Outdoor Forest Wedding

Luke & all of their guests were seated in a clearing in the woods with views of the Staffordshire countryside. Rhiannon and her bridesmaids appeared from the woods and the ceremony began. Technically, they got married on Thursday, so that gave them a lot more freedom with the ceremony and the personal vows they wrote for each other. It was a lovely, intimate ceremony in a gorgeous setting...

Tipi Wedding Party

After a short walk through the woods, a large field and Tipi come into view... This is where the party starts! Chilled champagne and cold beers in the sunshine, the smell of hog roast in the air, the cheers from the Croquet game and the cool sounds of "Jazz Jamboree" - made for the perfect festival vibe. This was one happy place!

Bride & Groom leave the Ceremony Barn at The Normans in a shower of confetti

Congratulations James & Jenny! [Sneak Preview]

James & Jenny got married at The Normans and I had an absolute ball hanging out with them and all of their friends and family. I can't wait to share loads more images from their wedding, but for now, here's a little sneak preview of things to come...

The Normans Wedding Photography

The Normans is a rustic, yet stylish and contemporary wedding venue. It's located on a working farm in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, just 20 minutes from York.

Photographing James & Jenny's wedding at The Normans was an absolute pleasure. The staff were amazing and they made sure I was well looked after.

The way The Normans has been set up is perfect for weddings. The 3 main buildings are all centred around a stylish, contemporary courtyard. This is a great space to greet guests and start the celebrations!

The Ceremony Barn is stunning, great big high ceilings, exposed bricks and a cascade of fairy lights create the perfect atmosphere for a wedding ceremony.

The tented ceiling of The Grain Store follows the fairy light theme and creates an impressive feature in this massive space. There's plenty of room for tables, bar & dancefloor, meaning there's no need to relocate your guests after the wedding breakfast.
