It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Lisa & Josh’s wedding at Longlands at Cartmel. I’d been looking forward to photographing their wedding ever since they booked me and it did not disappoint!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I initially spoke with Lisa about photographing their wedding, she said “the main thing for us is that we feel relaxed on our day and can just trust you to get on with it”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was like music to my ears. Making people feel comfortable is my main focus when it comes to wedding photography. I mean obviously, I need to get great photos too, but I’ll never get them if people don’t feel comfortable around me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exclusive Use Country Estate Wedding Venue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Longlands at Cartmel is a spectacular wedding venue, located in Cartmel, Grange-Over-Sands, about half an hour south of Windermere in the Lake District. It’s made up of a stunning Georgian House, an awesome Party Barn, the most amazing Walled Garden plus extra cottages too… Oh and they’re dog friendly, what more could you want?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some surprises, reveals and a little magic? Well, Longlands at Cartmel has all of that too! A long drive builds suspense until the impressive ivy-covered house is revealed. The Croquet Lawn is surrounded by the main house and the cottages. It’s the perfect space for an outdoor ceremony as it feels intimate and secure.

Then there’s the Party Barn, the large double doors are around the back, creating another reveal, this time with gorgeous views of the Lake District countryside. And the Walled Garden has surprise and magic in abundance! *nerd alert* I love it so much I FaceTimed my wife during the wedding breakfast just to show her the gardens \ud83d\ude48 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisa & Josh’s Lake District Wedding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What a wedding! What a day! What a couple! \ud83d\ude0d I was welcomed by Josh and his mates who were hanging out by the Croquet Lawn, we had a chat then I went off to find Lisa. Lisa was busy sewing gold beads onto her veil… On the morning of her wedding! But she wasn’t stressed at all. The whole morning was super chilled, in fact, the whole day was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After their outdoor ceremony on the Croquet Lawn, it was time to celebrate with Pimms and the amazing vocals of Daisy Kate, with a little help from some of the (slightly less talented) guests \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I’ve been allowed to work again, the standard of speeches has been at an all-time high. And this wedding was no exception. Lisa, Josh, The Father of The Bride and The Best Man all delivered top-notch speeches!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A quick cut of the cheese tower, followed by their first dance to get the party started! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
